Hey all!
Sierra here to tell you a little more about myself!
Simply put, I am a 25-year-old disciple of Jesus currently working as a nurse who enjoys living life in attempt to grow closer to God and love others well. Now let’s dive into those factors of my identity a little more.
I grew up as a pastor’s kid with the ability to at least know of God for all of my life. Because of that, and God’s graciousness to pursue a relationship with me, I have fallen so deeply in love with who He is and how He relates to us. At this point in my life, I have developed a burning desire to follow the example God gave us through Jesus. To be fully human but walk in perfect harmony with God…man, that just sounds incredible! Now, I know I will never come even close to that…but I think that example is a worthy one to follow.
In regard to my profession, I graduated from Azusa Pacific University with my Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 2020. The initial draw to become a nurse came from my desire to help others by utilizing what was already gifted naturally to me. With a proficiency in sciences and a love of caring for others, I found my way into nursing. After graduating I stepped into a bit of a chaotic nursing field where I ended up in pediatric home care. I felt I had reached my maximum ability to grow in this position and decided to step into the medical unit at a local hospital. My dream is to one day take my knowledge as a nurse and become an educator for nurses worldwide in order to better empower them to care for their own communities.
To finish up here’s a list of a few things that help me enjoy this life so much; getting to know God/people/different cultures, spending time with the people (and pets) I love, exploring nature via hiking/camping, and competitive activities like soccer, basketball, board games, etc.
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me!
God Bless
Sierra 🙂
